Leafing through the pages of Carlito's life

Let me tell you the storyline of what I was dreaming to write -- the coming-of-age tale of Carlito, our eight-year old protagonist and how his eyes were opened to the reality that life on earth is never sweet. One might say and dismiss this as something already written but what story is new?
